What do I want to do and what do I need to do?

Want:
- To build an impressive portfolio
- Make a network of contacts
- Complete my briefs, FMP & dissertation to a good quality standard that I am happy with.
- Broaden my skills in; print, illustration, book making, composition, colour
- Learn how to use Illustrator better
- Design more & more & more
- Gain a better understanding of design practice. Do this by working, communicating, reaserching
- Have a presence as a young designer
- Get a design job (a good one)
- Produce high quality design which I love
- Carry on getting better and better (continuous skill development)
- Collaborate
- Be more involved
- Win some competitions
- Be more decisive and confident

Now, these were just scribbles in my notebook. I won't try and re write them into something more concise now, because I'm going to re-do my Statement of intent and Rationale (just because I feel like I know a lot more about what I want/need/etc after the last few days) and I'll sort of tie these things into that (and make it sound a lot clearer)

Also I didn't really get that the 'needs' list meant what we needed to do to accomplish the things in the 'wants' list. I was thinking want and need was more like 'I want more red wine but I need some asprin in water' kind of thing. But design related, obviously. So My needs list just said 'same as wants list'. Ergh, I'm so thick sometimes.

I'm planned to sort out a proper 'needs' list but in the afternoon the group session clarified this for me.

(This is in mauve because if I have to read one more thing in black and white I will DIE)
